The Monterey Garden Club

About Us

The Monterey Garden Club was organized

on February 5, 1927

The purposes of the club are stated in its by-laws:

The purpose of this club shall be:

  • to promote the love and practice of amateur gardening;
  • to promote the culture of flowers among children;
  • to encourage civic planning and roadside beautification;
  • to protect wildflowers and birds;
  • to further the public interest in horticulture and conservation

The club meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 1:00 p.m.

Meetings feature interesting speakers, great field trips, and occasional audio-visual presentations.

Membership is open to everyone, and the club is delighted to welcome anyone interested in nature, conservation and gardening.

We invite you to join us!

The Monterey Garden Club's motto:

We pass this way but once.  Let us beautify the path as we go on, so that the world may see which way we went.
